Your Spiritual Needs

At Vincentian we respect the spiritual and cultural needs of each resident. Representatives of all denominations and religions are welcome to visit residents at any time and will be contacted for you by staff on request. We uphold the status of Maori and obligations of the Treaty of Waitangi

Family and friends are encouraged to support residents at religious services or gatherings.

Catholic Services

In keeping with the Catholic ethos of Vincentian Home and Hospital there are regular Catholic services held on the premises and at nearby St Joachim's Church. These include Mass:

9am Monday to Friday

There are visits each Wednesday afternoon by Sister Rachel from Home of Compassion for devotions and to provide personal pastoral care for any resident on request.

Anglican Communion

Anglican Communion is conducted every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 2pm in the upstairs Vincentian lounge
